Client view #11: Andrei Cipu
At ETFmatic we have the pleasure of serving clients in 32 European countries. We see this as an incredible advantage being able to interact with such a large and diverse group of people from all walks of life. As our aim is to democratise finance for all Europeans we ask our clients if they would be willing answer questions on their experience and initial decision to use ETFmatic. The post below is part of an ongoing series where we share the experiences some of the amazing clients we serve today.
How long have you been investing for?
I've been investing for more than 10 years, mostly in ESPP packages from my employers, as well as mutual funds and some limited exposure to the stocks.
Describe your investment goals. Are they long-term, short-term, are you on track? Have you changed your investment strategy over the years? If so, how?
I have both short-term goals related to year-to-year performance, as well as long term goals related to the amount of money I want to retire with. I am currently on track, but because I am facing increasing expenses, I recently decided to invest more on the capital market, including in ETFs.
Why did you decide to use ETFmatic?
I decided to use ETFmatic as opposed to investing through an ETF broker because of the automated rebalancing algorithms and the fact that my questions were asked by a real person who took the time to explain the process in the greatest detail.
Can you provide a brief overview of your experience so far - How much are you investing, how long for, and how satisfied are you with returns to date?
I am investing about $2500 for at least 3 years. I have only started 3 months ago so it's a bit early to talk about the returns, but I'm happy with the portofolio volatility in the crazy days in early February.
How comfortable are you with using a robo-advice platform, how does it compare with your investing experience prior?
I tend to do all my investment online, so I'm perfectly comfortable with the platform. I do like to talk to people when I have questions though, and ETFmatic has delivered that as well so far.
We'd like to thank Andrei for his time and investing with us. If you would like to be part of our client feedback series and provide your opinion. Good, bad or indifferent, please do let us know
