At ETFmatic we have the pleasure of serving clients in 32 European countries. We see this as an incredible advantage being able to interact with such a large and diverse group of people from all walks of life. As our aim is to democratise finance for all Europeans we ask our clients if they would be willing answer questions on their experience and initial decision to use ETFmatic. The post below is part of an ongoing series where we share the experiences some of the amazing clients we serve today.
Name:Emil Lazzaroni
Age:25
Country:Malta

How long have you been investing for?

Unfortunately just a few months.

Describe your investment goals. Are they long-term, short-term, are you on track? Have you changed your investment strategy over the years? If so, how?

I do have two goals. One is more aggressive with the hope to gain more value overtime, but obviously is more risky. One is more conservative with the goal to protect my capital.
I think I will continue down this line for the next few years.

Why did you decide to use ETFmatic?

Because I was looking for a Robo-Advisor and from Malta it was the only one who allowed me to invest without much hassle. After a good research I decided to trust this platform. It's very simple to use, very intuitive and it has some good ETFs on it.
Then I've been totally blown away by the incredible support that I got from Johann over the phone and by email. I've never experienced such a good support with any company I've been doing business with in the past.

Can you provide a brief overview of your experience so far - How much are you investing, how long for, and how satisfied are you with returns to date?

The market is performing well, most indexes are at their maximum in history. I kinda know that soon or later they will collapse like in 2009, but nobody knows when, so for now I just think about investing and growing my portfolio.
So far I've invested around 35% of my net worth, plus every month I'm investing constantly 2,500 euros. Anyway I see ETFs like a long, long time investment. I even never check how they are performing cause I'll just hold, whatever it happens, for 10-15 years.

How comfortable are you with using a robo-advice platform, how does it compare with your investing experience prior?

It has been the first platform for me. I'm also using another platform which is my Maltese Bank one. ETFmatic is really great and simple to understand, with lots of information and very clear dashboard.
